I often create soup from all the bits and pieces I find in my house
The soup is good and warm
The soup has depth
The soup has love
The soup is delicious
When I make the soup and I am enjoying the soup, I am with God
Making the soup from life around me
from ingredients leftover, from new ingredients, from new ideas
is being with God
The making of the soup is being with God
The differences in all the ingredients give me play
The differences in tastes give me play
The differences in how I will shape the materials give me play
The differences in how the ingredients come together and sometimes don’t
give me play
What is play?
Play is turning life into love
Play is taking separate ingredients and making one
Play is quite simple and fantastically fun
There is nothing I enjoy more than making something seemingly separate
into wholeness and goodness
This is togetherness
This is God
The only question I have at this time is...
What ingredients do I really want to choose?
What ingredients are for me and completely resonate with God?
The question is:
What kind of soup does God want to make through me?
And I’m beginning to enjoy this question more and more,
because in my life, I have always made soup
from the ingredients around me
Now it’s time for me to make soup
with ingredients God consciously gives me
if only I listen soft enough
If only I listen soft enough.
Laughter follows...
Smiles...
